Kingdom Hearts 3

"In an interview with Tetsuya Nomura, he stated that his team is currently too busy with other projects to work on Kingdom Hearts III. He also stated that his team was doing research concerning the high-definition graphics of the game, and that depending on the technical limitations of the next generation consoles, Kingdom Hearts III may see a release on the existing platforms"

This tells us a few things

1. The game is 100% going to be made!! big_smile
2. In another interview, I can't quote it but he mentioned that he will start Kingdom Hearts 3 when he is completely finished Final Fantasy Versus 13, Which I'll assume others don't know... He will finish Final Fantasy Versus 13 after he's finished Kingdom Hearts 3D for the Nintendo 3DS
3. This also means that this is gonna be awhile as they have to finish other games, and then START this one, It takes a long time to build a game from near scratch, they have the general character models and such but it'll be a whole new world for them to design

Expect 2012-2013 minimum people, I dont doubt 2014 or 2015 if Square Enix puts their full effort into this main installment

Opinions, Comments and the such?

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

From the KHII Secret Ending it seems like they are going past Sora and the gang and into a new universe of characters. I mean Spoiler* Sora did finish off Orginization XIII, unless he's going to finish off the heartless or something.

I'll still probably get it though, past two games have been awesome.

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

Yeah...  "KH 3D, then Versus XIII, THEN KH3".... thats correct >_<

The remake of Coded on the Nintendo DS will be released in North America on January 11, 2011, and Europe on January 14, 2011.... but expect a possible delay as the english voiceover for Jimmy Cricket became ill recently and cannot perform the voice correctly, that may delay it a few days lool

And the secret ending in Kingdom Hearts 2 really confused everyone but had nothing to do with Kingdom Hearts 3 as everyone assumed haha....

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

The Kingdom Hearts 2 Secret Ending was -I think- the Birth By Sleep trailer.

Still, though, with KHIII, most would expect more OST for us to learn and/or improvise off of big_smile

It's gonna be so long but I can't wait for (hopefully) Yoko Shimomura to create the score for KH3, and then get Miwa Sato and the other few pianists to come up with a piano collection... Oooooh just gives me tingles thinking about it ^_^

Oh and don't forget Utada Hikaru to create the theme song big_smile... I'm strongly looking forward to that smile

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

the only bad thing about this game is that if you haven't played KH 1 and 2 you will have no clue what the story is about xD so I need to play them first I guess

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

Meh, not necessarily, as big of a fan that I am I haven't played KH1 =O *gasp* I know

I played KH 2 and loved it to death... though having never played KH 1 I still think i get a fairly decent idea of the story thus far... with the exception of Riku... I'm not completely sure what happenned in the last game with him... sad

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

I think a hard decision for the KHIII crew is how Riku and Kairi will fit in now. They could replace Donald and Goofy as the companions, but I have a feeling some fans would rage. They could create a problem where Kairi and Riku is gone, but some OTHER fans would rage. So what I'm saying is that Kingdom Hearts III will be slower to finish because of the decisions for the story line.

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

I heard that some people from previous games will come back including Ven, some Organization members, and some others.  I think for the third game, everybody will kind of come together for a really nice conclusion.

aaaagreed. Utada needs to give us another new theme! They've been using Simple and Clean for all the minor platform games and it bugs me. Haha I want something new. And with Yoko Shimomura on board I can't wait for more awesome themes. He did Ventus', Aqua's, and Terra's theme brilliantly I thought, with good undertones of their respective others.

Yesssss, Utada is on hiatus though, so we can only wait for her to finish in a year or two... though Simple and Clean is good, some new themes would've been nice... Though I'm anticipating KHIII even more now.... but yeah Yoko's music is beautiful too.. she has a really good musical ear for her own music and she usually knows her themes quite well..... Aaaaah I want to see if she can come up with anything to match "Dearly Beloved"

Speaking of Dearly Beloved...I hope they bring that to a new level.

I can't wait for Utada to come back. That would be brilliant.

Also, I've never really played the minor platform ones. Only KHI, KHII, KHCoM, 365/2 Days, and BBS...

The Kingdom Hearts 2 Secret Ending is the ending of 358/2 Days. The dude in the coat is Roxas and the blindfolded guy is Riku. It takes place after Xion had just died.

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

Wha? I didn't see this thread! I love Kigndom Hearts! I never finished KH1, iI think I got a little more than halfway when KH2 came out. KH2 was the easiest, I mean Xemnas has to be THE Easiest final boss fight ever. Anyone here beaten Sepheroth, because I can get his health only down halfway? (I appologize for spelling his name wrong, I can never remember how to spell it.) I was looking forward to KH3D, but I'd need a 3DS for that and i don't have the money right now. lol

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

I can beat Sephiroth, and the best tip I can give you for now (since I have not played in years) is to really focus during his Heartless Angel (the move that makes your HP become 1), and try to attack him before it hits. (Using something like Glide or anything that can get you up there big_smile)

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

Thanks, that was probably my problem. Because I was trying to fight him when I was already on the highest level (why is the highest only level 99 and not 100?) but I never equipped Glide. I'll have to try that then...

Pffft, I first flew through the game and ended up fighting Sephiroth at level 64... P.s NOT EASY.... But with stategy I beat him no problem on the hardest difficulty... All I have to say is be very wary of your block... it really does come in handy

What I always did was equip my slots full of elixers (or whatever makes your health and mana full) and time it so that I use it RIGHT BEFORE he uses the attack that makes my HP 1. If i use it with correct timing, sora will use it, lose his health, then regain it immediately after. Am I explaining myself well?

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

I think that in KHIII, Riku and Sora might go their own separate ways to try and defeat Xehanort from two angles, and not just one. Kairi might train with Aqua while Ventus travels with Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Meanwhile, Riku goes to several worlds and is being ordered around by  Terra's Lingering Sentiment. Meanwhile, Xehanort somehow resurrects Vanitas and Organization XIII to do battle with the protagonists. Vanitas verses both Sora and Riku at different points in the story, and several Organization Members fight Riku and Sora at various points in KHIII. While this is going on, I think Sora and Riku go around saving various people connected to Sora's heart, like Riku saves Xion and Terra, while Sora saves Aqua, Ventus, Roxas, and Namine. While doing all of this, Sora and Riku go to different Disney Worlds. Tell me what you think, everyone. I don't mind if you tell me that this prediction sucks! Just reply.

This sounds very interesting but for one problem... there're many such as myself who've played KH I and II but never owned any of the systems required to play any of the spinoffs.... including characters from the spin-offs would throw off a lot of main series players and it wouldn't be very familiar to newcomers either... Quite a few people would still love it but I think they'll avoid the spin-offs and move forward with something more related to the main series

Re: Kingdom Hearts 3

I've played every single Kingdom Hearts game (Except The Final Mixes) and I will keep at it. Hopefully KH3 comes out for the PS3. I heard some game saying that he wants it to come out for the Wii U.

Also, Nomura said in an interview that Kingdom Hearts 3 will end the Xehanort Saga, but Sora will continue being the protagonist in the next saga, which is great smile
